Valenzuela holds annual holiday food bazaar online due to pandemic

CALOOCAN CITY, Dec. 7 (PIA) -- The Valenzuela City Government has decided to postpone this year its annual food fiesta due to the thread of COVID-19.

The traditional "salo-salo" dubbed the "Valenzuela Food Fiesta," has been held along CJ Santos Street, where food vendors and foodies get together to enjoy varieties of international and local delicacies at very affordable prices.

"Dahil sa COVID-19 pandemic, wala munang food fiesta sa CJ Santos St. ngayong taon," the local government announced on Facebook.

"Gayunman, hindi tayo magpapapigil na ituloy ang Valenzuela City Food Fiesta na ating nang naging tradisyon tuwing Kapaskuhan. Ang ating Food Fiesta ngayong taon ay online na!"

It said food stuffs are still made available online and through delivery by visiting the Valenzuela Food Fiesta website: www.valenzuela.gov.ph/ onlinefoodfiesta

Just click the food cart, enter your food choice in the pop-up menu, and you wll be redirected to the page of the food seller, it added. (PIA NCR)
